I trained in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, then spent years working as an HR Business Partner before I moved into recruitment. That HR background is still what sets my recruitment work apart. I don’t just match a CV to a job description. I understand the business behind the role, the team dynamics, and what actually makes someone succeed once they’re hired.

Fifteen years on, I’ve placed people across Finance, HR, Marketing, Risk, Compliance, IT, FMCG and Manufacturing. Finding the right person for a role, and watching that placement work out for both sides, is genuinely one of my favourite parts of the job. It’s the thing that still gets me out of bed.

Recruiters see the outcome. Coaches sit with the person still figuring out whether they even want it. Most people offering one of those have never properly done the other. I’ve done both, often for the same client, for fifteen years.

Most people who come to me for coaching start with a career question, a promotion they’re not sure about, a role that isn’t fitting anymore, a move they can feel coming but haven’t quite named yet. I coach through curiosity rather than instruction. My job isn’t to hand you an answer. It’s to help you find your own.
